The mastermind behind this lure is Katsutoshi Furusawa, the founder of BCL (Blockchain Lures), a former JB World Pro, and a competitor on the FLW Tour in the U.S. Having demonstrated the power of those iconic buzzbaits both in Japan and overseas, Furusawa’s career culminates in what can be considered his ultimate weapon: the Draft Waker.
As Tailwalk and BCL deepened their partnership, anglers had the chance to rediscover the lure’s effectiveness—even on tough lakes, it continues to catch fish all over Japan.
Now, the Draft Waker is being released in Tailwalk-exclusive original colors: “Naka Chart” and “Naka Gill”, along with three special prints celebrating Tailwalk’s 20th anniversary.
Upgrades include: optimized eye placement, reinforced body strength, anti-line-twist design, custom USA-made hexagonal blades, red DECOY #3 rear hooks, high-strength swivels on the rear hooks to reduce lost fish, and a wobble-to-roll action ratio tuned to Furusawa’s ideal 5:5.
